Piece Of Shit Or Not - Batman V Superman:Dawn Of Justice

This movie's got some mighty big boots to fill.

Joe's Take-
Stop me if you've heard this one: "Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman, walk into a dimly lit movie..." Even scenes in a fully illuminated building look dark and depressing. Kind of like the movie Hancock, if Will Smith shot heroin and there was a constant solar eclipse overhead. Superman is both loved and hated like Kanye West. Batman is angry and too stupid to realize that Lex Luthor is playing him against Supie. Wonder Woman gets out of expensive cars and looks hot in a dress. Luthor monologues his entire scheme, and the overload of DC superheroes involved are just stupid enough to let him rant on instead of acting. There'll be way more CG used than practical effects, self-righteous theological discussions on morality, uneven storytelling and character development (Man of Steel syndrome), superhero cameos that will reek of desperation, and a Ninja Turtles version of Doomsday. The trailers have given away this entire film, and Ben Affleck (Mallrats) is the only one who'll make things interesting.

My Prediction- My so-so feelings towards 2013's Man of Steel and my total lack of anticipation for this film, does not bode well for my opinions of the caped crusader finally confronting the son of Krypton on the big screen (Can I please go back and see Deadpool for the first time again?). Until director Zack Snyder shows me better than what he's done so far, I can't see this film being much more than mediocre. In my eyes, he's just a cooler version of Michael Bay (Transformers). Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will not be a Piece Of Shit, but it won't be great either. And that feels like a piece of shit to me.

Mike

Oh hey, another Zach Snyder movie that has some cool "sin city"/300 style coloring, a lot of Frank Millerisms and General Zod as Doomsday? What?
Look, I'm a huge Batman geek, He's my favorite superhero but Warner Bros/DC Comics seem to not understand how to handle him when it comes to movies.
Flashy graphics and the attitude of "this is a multiverse and it's my vision for the characters" is just not going to work. Christopher Nolan's Batman was pretty great, badly voiced aside.
This is not going to be a good movie, dare I say, this movie is going to suck

So yes, a piece of shit, just on the idea of Doomsday being Zod. I mean, c'mon son! Get your shit together DC and make like Marvel and just give us what we want.

P.S. when it takes more than 2 writers to give us a script, we're in trouble

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

Fearing the actions of Superman are left unchecked, Batman takes on the man of steel, while the world wrestles with what kind of a hero it really needs. With Batman and Superman fighting each other, a new threat, Doomsday, is created by Lex Luthor. It's up to Superman and Batman to set aside their differences along with Wonder Woman to stop Lex Luthor and Doomsday from destroying Metropolis.
