Piece Of Shit Or Not?- Keeping up with the Joneses

I'm sorry, but the thought of these two getting it on, is far more appealing than the film itself.
                                                                                             I'm not sorry.

Joe's Take-
Zach Galifianakis (Masterminds) and Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers) are a married couple with a normal/boring suburban life. When some intriguing new neighbors move onto their block (Jon Hamm, The Town/Gal Gadot, Wonder Woman), they start getting a little too nosy for their own good. Now stop me if you've heard this one; Their neighbors turn out to be spies, or hit men, or arms dealers, or the kind of people that can kick ass while looking good! I bet you didn't see that one coming. When the neighbors discover that the suburbanites have figured them out, they make them go under cover to earn their trust back. And then do you know what happens next?! Hilarity ensues or something like that. Will it be funny? Probably not.

My Prediction- Take Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Date Night, stir some forced humor into the mix, and you have this movie. I like the cast, but this movie looks terrible. How can anyone take this seriously when even Galifianakis can't be funny? Keeping up with the Joneses will absolutely be a Piece Of Shit. From the looks of things, maybe the writers should have been keeping up with the script instead.

Mike's Take - This is a movie that I could care less about. It seems that every time a movie with a great comedian comes around, the director just takes the "best" scenes where everyone is trying to upstage the comedian with their off the cuff takes of lines from the script. Only because it's a vehicle for said comedian and he's surrounded by good (and sometimes great) actors.

Keeping Up With The Joneses is A)Going to be a mediocre movie and B)Going to have Zach Galifianakis doing his same schtick that he always does in movies, when he should be doing more things along the lines of Baskets or even the first Hangover, where his characters didn't "act" crazy, they were either emotionally unstable or products of their environment. He's a better damn actor than this and this is the second time we've seen him this year and it's not getting better.

Piece Of Shit.
