Hacksaw Ridge Piece Of Shit Or Not?

Hacksaw Ridge Piece Of Shit Or Not?
Just give peace (and tie-dyes) a chance
Joe's Take-
A pacifist meets anger and intolerance when he refuses to carry a weapon when deployed into WWII. His unshakeable faith seems to win over some of his peers, while others are violently reactive towards him. But when it all comes down to it, something miraculous is going to happen that will change their lives forever. Sound cheesy? You bet your anti-second amendment asses it does!

My Prediction- At first glance, this looks like a pretentious piece of anti-war sentimentality. However, it's directed by Mel Gibson (Braveheart), and the level of detail in the look of the 1940's and the battle scenes, makes me think that Hacksaw Ridge will not be a Piece Of Shit. The one thing that might ruin things though, is the stupid twangy accent of Andrew Garfield's (The Social Network) pacifist. Lord, please give me the strength to keep my composure when subjected to that stupid voice!

Mike's Take
Jay Baruchel Andrew Garfield stars in this pacifist actioner about a World War II soldier that refuses to to carry a weapon because he "wants to change the world with his niceness". Directed by Mel Gibson, which if that tells you anything will be a pretty damn good movie, even if you don't like His Melness, admit it, he makes some fine entertaining films.

This is Mel's next attempt at winning an Oscar. There isn't much buzz going around about this movie and let's face it, no one will remember it in two weeks. Which is unfortunate, but Assassin's Creed is coming out and that movie is just going to destroy everything in its path
