What's New With A Couple Of Average Joe's?

A Couple Of Average Joe's

The All New A Couple Of Average Joe's

When we (Joe and I) started this page, I had the idea of doing a movie review site where we could sit and watch our collective favorite movies, review them, have fun and make a living out of this. Well, haha, joke's on us.

We're struggling. To be honest, we don't know what the hell we're doing with the movie review thing. I have done a lot of research on how to setup a web page, SEO, keyword research, etc, etc. There's some good information out there, but there's a whole ton of garbage out there.

People just stealing others content and repurposing it. Bad lists of how a web page can be successful if you just follow these steps. People putting together Youtube videos where the talk about how to create a successful online business, but never talking about how to actually do it.

I watched a video where a person was saying that they had a web page that was getting 80,000 views per month, writing about whatever was on their mind, but they knew, they just knew, that if they niched down, they could increase their page views. Which they did.

What they didn't do in that video was tell anyone HOW they managed to get those initial 80,000 views per month. How much time, effort, blood, sweat, and tears they put into their site. It was like "oh, hey, it was just amazing, the views we're getting is by magic...", there doesn't seem to be any site that actually tells you how to, step by step, create a site that might work.

So, we're throwing it all out the window. SEO and all that be damned. The new A Couple Of Average Joe's is all things to all people. It's whatever we want it to be. Whatever our interests are.

This site will be for our new auto industry podcast, articles on writing, World War 2, mythology, lore, history, problems that we believe need to be brought to light, psoriasis. Anything that's important to US. Because, really, that's where it starts. With US. If we give you stuff that we think are interesting and make it compelling, then it's a win-win.

As far as the movie reviews and trivia, well, that's over on Cinescape Magazine. Go there. Errr - Go HERE:

We're changing that up as well. Again, I don't buy into just doing a niche thing. Entertainment is entertainment. We're just going to do it our way. Stuff that we like, that we're going to share with you. Classic monster movies, animation, special effects, movie trivia, movies that we love and hate. I think the most important part of the site that has me excited is going behind the scenes and finding good stories to talk about these movies. Just ignore the lame tag line.

Once again, we're inviting you all to join us. Let us know what you would like us to write about. Yes, we already have ideas in the works, but, don't be afraid to contribute. We want you to be a part of this.

Mike and Joe

  1. YAY YOU! It is a "Me" world & people are nosey; so, hey, why not? Talk your talk & people will or won't read & share. Either way, you have an outlet which is cheaper than a therapist.

  2. When it comes down to it, aren't all blogs supposed to be a bit personal? I like it when the author gets personal and puts their personality into their writing. Otherwise, it just becomes bland. Where's the fun on that?
    Thanks for the response!
