Joe's Take- A younger Han Solo decides to enter the smuggler's life "for good", and teams up with a centuries old Wookie, Sarah Connor 2.0, a Power Rangers knockoff droid, a fully walking Larry Flynt, and a pansexual playboy who loves the sound of his own voice. The sadomasochistic albino from The Da Vinci Code appears to be the villain, and he makes smuggling much more difficult for our protagonists than it has to be. But it all has to be so much easier, being that the Millennium Falcon is in peak condition, right? Explosions, close calls, and hindsight references abound take up the entire run time.
My Prediction- The big budget makes everything look and sound great, however Rouge One also had those attributes and yet it still left much to be desired. My two biggest concerns are the casting of Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!), and whether or not this whole thing will turn out to be some giant wink at the camera. Solo: A Star Wars Story will not be a Piece Of Shit, but I'm walking out of the theater if "Scruffy Looking Nerf Herder" is mentioned.
Mike's Take -
Welp, it was inevitable for a Han Solo, er solo movie to hit the theaters. the SJW's out there would like you to think that Star Wars is being ruined, I'm sorry that "their Star Wars" is being ruined because Kathleen Kennedy is bad for the industry (hardly) and that we should boycott and stop purchasing anything that has to do with Star Wars.
This movie looks like it's going to be fun. Ron Howard knows how to direct a film and it gives a new take on the character that we know and love as that "scoundrel" that pilots the worlds most famous sci-fi/space opera/fantasy ships. But, will it be good? All signs point to it being really good, but I'm not going to hold my breath, if it's as good as Rogue One, than I'll be pleased. It won't be a piece of shit. Also, Lando Calrissian is the best name ever.
